snow, like diplomacy, arrives in haste, to whiten out the mess underneath

The road show hasn't got to the tech crunch in Silicon Valley / Silicon Valley North (as known as /San Francisco by the Bay). Corporations don't have Democratic elections by the People for their boards, but they make a lot of money off the people.
What does a "road show" about Ukraine feature ? A lot of friendly, happy, passionate people maybe?
They like Western Culture as much as their own, they can do a lot with a little money, they haven't started any wars, gave up their nuclear weapons for next to nothing, and they Love the music.
For sure, there are plenty of ways they can integrate with the EU and rebuild the severely impacted economy, with transparency and good will. Yet they have to get past the hard parts.
As Merkel and Hollande make haste to cut a deal, what do the people in Ukraine think about that? Kerry seems ever so reserved, maybe his strength of emotions to carry an agreement is held back by riding a horse with no name?
Diplomats have that talent for filtering their words before they emerge from the mouth, not my strong point, but I'm always striving to improve.
Russia appears to revel in the confidence they have a spy as President. At the moment, it's certain the covert intelligence game is on, trying to pick up any inside information about what the other side is thinking. Merrkel doesn't trust the USA since they tapped her phone, and so on.
But with all the combined money in Silicon Valley, do their corporate security chiefs have some sharing of information as well? they have such huge business at stake. They can hire the best of the best, and have to some extent. If they see all of this slipping too close to a risk of a full out nuclear exchange, do the Peter Thiels, Larry Page, Ellison, Zuckerburg, Ian Clark, James Dimon, along with all the Russian Oligarchs , just decide to make their own offer to pay  money and make all this go away ? There is after all, a price for everything, although a genuine smile is hard to buy.
But would this hypothetical "donation" be viewed as non tax-deductible extortion? And where would it go? Would it just broaden some scope of participants and beneficiaries of the hypothetical  "masonic conspiracy" ? You got to hand it to the Masons, they seem to self-publicize pretty well for a secret order.
And what about this new John Woo action movie project with Leonardo Di Caprio, where he plays a right wing Svoboda Party member, fighting on the Maidan from day one, joining the Ukraine army while still recovering from a sniper wound, is caught behind enemy lines while parachuting in on a special operation, tortured, but then escapes with the help of a beautiful Russian girl, sort of an homage to THE GREEN HORNET, thanks to the acting by a previous acting  unknown, The Mongolian...At some point in the movie, Mister Mongolian (Junna) will square up against "the Cossack" in a fierce engagement with neolithic weapons, later they will become friends...
. all joking aside : it's serious business in Ukraine right now! People are dying and suffering every day, hour, minute.
 Vozdvyzhenska street
I walked down Vozdvyzhenska street a few days ago, after trying futilely  to get my run in (I've been sick with a chest cold) and I was caught in a state of awe at the volume of new construction there, four and five story, high end buildings, a lot where they haven't cleaned the construction dust off the windows, the entire huge street is perfect, except there are nearly no open shops, no occupied apartments. Who is carrying the bank loans on this, or is it all oligarchic money ? It's a prime district. I am sure no one has the money to lease or buy for what they are asking. Plenty of for rent signs up...  going further down onto the busy Verkhini Val Street, I came across a gaggle of desperately poor pensioners trying to sell eggs, cooked chickens, cabbage, honey and the like. I bought some honey from one lady. It felt like they were selling the food they could not afford to eat. I felt bad about it

A lot of people in Ukraine want to see things the most easy way, and they often do. And many people really still think the worst, even of the new government. For example, some Public administration policy wonk complained about just lopping the heads off every department (like statistics) I am sure there was some way to get rich in the past by manipulating government statistics, yet they phrased it like it was hard to find people of the same caliber of experience (I wasn't in the mood to debate : if people complain, it is their right to do that.\)
I think they are doing the best that they can and can live with what they get from it (the People and their government)
meanwhile, there are people with real problems  http://mashable.com/2015/02/05/medics-on-ukraine-frontlines/?utm_cid=hp-hh-pri
I went into the Intercontinental last night, since I was dressed up after a meeting with the Austrian Ambassador. I surprised some Russian girl coming out of the men's room, her English came too easy, and I couldn't believe she was so ditzy to not know the difference between the boys room and the girls, maybe she was planting a listening device, there under the counter of the sinks by  the trash receptacle, but I didn't bother to look, maybe she really didn't know. If it was serious, they'd send a man into the men's room... What would Junior Spy camp look like in Russia? Do they start them when they are 16 or 17? She just did too good of a job of being an empty minded looking blondinka. In all, I don't think there is very much hidden stuff here , the writing is on the wall. The spies will be the fly on the wall, whisper in the ear of the negotiators, like a poker match, who is bluffing ?
And what exactly is on the mind of Doctor Kissinger? Is he a special adviser ? to whom ?
