be like water

So where in all this vast morass of news is Nadia Savchenko ? she is discredited, discarded, ignored by the media after the artificial  kerfuffle that she wanted to destroyUkraine's parliament, let free on some technicalities . How does a woman who served in Iraq, saw that war from the inside out, has seen the unfolding of Ukraine's multiple crises scenarios. Been held prisoner on the belly of the beast, been personally pardoned by Mister Putin, flown back to Ukraine on the Presidential airplane, then served in Ukraine parliament , then been arrested under suspicion of plans to blow up that body, which she said was allegorical. One has to keep in mind that she went into occupied Donbas, DPR,LPR areas to meet with Ukraine prisoners of war. I mean, who would actually do that after what she went through in Russian imprisonment? I don't see that she posts, has a blog, telegram channel (not that I know anything about telegram) I just feel that the media has missed another chan...

That Ukrainian Rebel Heart !

Image
I have to admit the fact, that the entire Peace and Prosperity plan that I was working out for Ukraine in my crazy mind for some time =, it  is totally shattered. A  truly complete  reconstruction of that plan would be required at this point in time. It is still fictionally possible for everybody to pretty much make pretty  good money,  if the variant  factual, contextual differences can be set aside, but this plan cannot get reworked in 24 hours by myself working totally alone unfortunately. I need backup . and my team in Ukraine has taken losses. I don't have much real news. But a song that hit me today by the music group " First Aid Kit"  the song "Rebel Heart"  the words seemed so hard and true about the situation. The question that I have,  is which way does this narrative convey itself within the conflict? And how does Ukraine attempt to start itself over from this point in time? https://youtu.be/0HBzCbnFMmg One thing I learned ...

That Southernmost outpost of Christianity in Ukraine during the Revolutionary War in America

Image
this is a photo of a church outside Dnipro  Ukraine, it is a Christian Church built entirely from wood in maybe the 1600's, because I have been there, walked with that friend to the rear of that Church , seen the interiors, I think that for sure this hand hewn carpentry work is certainly from the 1700's''The thing that is pretty crazy about the military standoff in Ukraine/ on the borders of Belarus, Russia , is that both sides are basically Right wing Christian fanatics, there is not any difference of ideology, the differences relate to interpretations of History, and this is why the heart of the battle for the future of Ukraine and Russia it's about information warfare, the outcome of that, coupled with economic sanctions, social aspersions about what is cool/ not cool. These seemingly abstract places in reality exist, with numerous historical anecdotes about those places, some gapped, some bad. One has to walk the land, have your feet make the phone call to under...

That Glaring Media Juggernaut omission:

Image
Hey Folks, those few infrequent readers of my Blog, the last time that I checked MIG jets haven't been scrambled to intercept my International flights, mostly because  I haven't recently taken International flights, particularly over Russia / Belarus airspace. I am trying to remember how I got out of Belarus after my 2017 visit, I think that it was by bus. Most Americans cannot begin to appreciate the complexity of obtaining a Belarus travel Visa. Even back then, one really had to want to go there, I went there to visit a friend and visit the grave of a deceased journalist friend, Pavel Sheremet who was killed in a car bombing in Kyiv, Ukraine in July of 2016.  For one thing , just the application for a visa from the Belarus consulate in Kyiv is complex, complex paperwork , a relatively big amount of money, disclosures about one's military/ civilian status, purpose of the visit, etc. And the Belarus Consulate itself is truly daunting, the attendant waits behind a very t...

The Israel component to the Ukraine Security Crisis

Image
One would have to be a novice, or a plebeian to not be aware of Israel's deep connections to Ukraine. In the midst of this vast media pumped geopolitical/ existential crisis.  . Israeli business interests fund construction of buildings, apartments, shopping centers in Ukraine, Israeli business interests are heavily integrated into Ukraine's economy. Of course Israeli business interests have no desire for a destructive conflict to advance outside of the Donbas (where they have already written off their losses ) I know this from first hand experience myself, that Israel sent Military doctors to Ukraine to treat the wounded in 2014, 2015, 2016 . It was an intentionally cloaked operation, or maybe not even an operation per se, but just a direct action by a few individuals. Setting all the details for the historians to dissect aside, what is real, relevant today about Israel/ Ukraine? I can only guess myself, without the vaguest shred of information or evidence of any sort, whats...

The Hidden Stories of Ukraine

Image
Hello, Heavy New Beers to my few followers on the blog Who would have thought that this dumpy little Russian Naval base would become the "Sum of All Fears" in 2013/ 2022 ?  I didn't, certainly not. I actually went to the  National Preserve of Tauric Chersonesos Херсонес Таврический on New Year's day, 2014 in Sevastopol Crimea (and actually I didn't pay admission, there wasn't an attendant at the gate. That fact alone could land me a 20 year prison sentence in Siberia, but maybe I can sew clothes with Navalny or something like that... A lot of News about Ukraine lately, Ukraine getting into high alert due to news of imminent invasion, problem for Ukraine visa vis Russia its that it's such a vast border. Now that invasion threat includes Belarus. Honestly, any reasonably educated, 12 years older youth could explain that Ukraine's National defense is much more easy if Belarus, as an invasion platform is simply neutralized, at least somewhat, but that st...

Common Ground In Ukraine

Image
what all people who share what is in common, than what sets us apart. We all want safety, security, opportunity and a semblance of a healthy life style. I am perhaps an outlier, I made many random , apparently non advantageous visits to Ukraine, had bad situations incur upon myself , yet also had amazing, stupendous situations unravel that outweighed the disadvantageous situations. Many losses and few wins, yet the situations that seemed inadvertent became a sub narrative that was irreplaceable. Nadia Savchenko relating her personal experience perspective about Ukraine's participation in Iraq amongst the "Coalition of the Willing" And herself as a soldier of a Nation that surrendered the world's third largest Nuclear Arsenal in History , and she asked me who I was, an American who speaks basic Russian in Ukraine and who doesn't speak basic Ukrainian much at all. I am just me. I have , had been to Crimea, have, had been to Donetsk , Zaporizhia, Eastern Ukraine, Dn...
