Blinded By Rainbows

The writer of this blog Crisis in Ukraine has had his own small crisis lately, yet he's still trying to hear about things that sound authentic and real, rather than surreal. I am slightly pinned down, but hoping to make a move to lower ground. The lower ground has swamps and rivers, and I can swim pretty good.
I guess that the news of the day that does relate fully to Ukraine, is FBI director James Comey's testimony about Russian Hacking of US Elections. I have to admit that the guy held up pretty well in the Hot Seat and deftly sidestepped intensive questioning on a plethora of issues (Particularly by Rep. Jackie Speier ) .  While I have not yet thought the party was awesome enough to drink the Kool~aid , he certainly fits the bill as the cool , unruffled style of FBI guy. One way or the other, he is in the thick of things.

I guess that my question at that Congressional hearing might be this "Are,  or were  the same set of actors and agents employed in the hacking of US 2016 elections , the same , or configured in a similar manner , as those employed in the Ukraine elections that brought Mister V. Yanukovych  into power?   Would there be a general correlation of the tactics of subversion employed to derail Yulia Tymoshenko's bid for the Presidency at that time as the tactics utilized against Secretary Clinton's bid for the Presidency ? I see some medical specialist lady from Moldova (who works in USA positioning herself as an expert witness in the veracity of President Obama's birth certificate,  how does she have so much skin in the game in this particular matter ? Why does she care so much?

. I am not a huge fan of Hillary Clinton, but I voted for her, and voted for her in the primary, I would have voted for Sanders, but at the time he felt like an easier candidate to beat. That said , the Republicans as a group have their issues, and those issues can be understood to a fair extent. I respect a number of the Republican's issues, and someday, God willing, I may think to vote for one of theirs.

We as a people should not turn our back to Russia, they are a people and a Nation of 11 time zones. I might hope that THE USA people could better educate themselves about Ukraine, it is really in my view, a lot less complicated than Syria, yet each region is equally interfused with complexity.

Japan has a word for the survivors of an Atomic War, it's Hibakesha, or something like that

People have survived this Ukraine war, and moved on, it can lead to a bigger war, or simply go away, we don't know where it will go. The Politicians will largely decide, due to business, economic interests and variant strains of Nationalism and religious hyperbole.
It has been said that life has a force of it's own, while there are rumors of carving up realms of influence across the globe, , yet what about the Universe ? What downdraft of forces will affect us , as we tread water in this sea of technology?

I guess that my parting perspective is this song by the Rolling Stones, "Blinded By  Rainbows"

Ostensibly , it is about Northern Ireland, but just as easily it could fit Ukraine, and serve as some question to the leadership of Nation States that bring such war upon peaceful people:

Presidential candidate Volodymyr Zelenskiy.  I am motivated to feel positive thoughts about it, yet I'm missing feeling the mood on the Metro, bumping into my friends on the bus and on the street. Western life is so socially aseptic these days...I miss that peaceful, easy feeling of Ukraine. Update :   Well enough done and said, I'll finish my complicated, stress filled week with a minor edit, in that it simply seems too obvious that my (post Ten days ago)  was relevant about the Robert S. Mueller testimony . Either the Congressional staffers that arranged the July  17th testimony date for the Special Counsel were perhaps naive (or raised a few eyebrows) about the significance of the date, vis a vis #MH17 , or whatever else, it seems to be a mutual unravelling of the ball of yarn, to deposit the Special Counsel's testimony to the United States Congress, on the eave of the Congressional recess, in essence, the POTUS is perhaps being given a slight pressure pardon, the variant researches, probings of his Kompromat vulnerabilities are postponed.  In the past, 1980's it was 6-8 years for the truth to unravel about American Political processes , perhaps today we are looking at half of that time frame, a hacked US political election is a big deal  , how...

That Cool Ukraine

It will be interesting to see how the New President of Ukraine navigates issues of regionalism, not only in his cabinet and staff, but policy and management decisions. The underlying economic questions about the state of Ukraine's economy are a serious matter, for they are losing far more people through outward migration, than through the war and conflict. You need to bring your cool game to Ukraine, Now, more than ever! The cool game  is subtle, nuanced. One has to appreciate the concept, while I am promoting only the idea , as myself all alone in the world, that these are moderate  and hospitable people, who don't want any trouble. That cool fashion chic, it's actually hard to do, as much as the fashion A Game in Ukraine is more than a challenge, it is probably a reality.
