Ukraine Starting Over

The Mood in the Metro was quite dour last week, every day, most hours, people seemed to be a bit withdrawn , somber . There was  notable lack of joy on any face, and not even a hint of mirth. The Easter weekend hardly changed it. It seems to have been the end of the burning season, dark bare Earth of the harvested crop land , the expertly  tilled wheat fields , stretching out  like a persona as vast agricultural lands,  contrasted with the redness of sunsets laden with ash, as colder weather emerged. perhaps it's possible to imagine our social media environment as a contrasted realm of "rustlers" and "wranglers". I think that most free people don't want to have either scenario imposed upon them. If their thinking is wrangled or rustled in a way they tend to agree with, then  maybe it's OK. I am drawn to the conflict in Ukraine as an external observer, originating from a vastly contrasted Socio-economic and political landscape. I find the conflict...

It is anybody's guess how Ukraine's situation will manage to sort itself out. Perhaps,  It is still an intense, very difficult to manage crisis that they are dealing with. whilst the monied elites  might shrug it off , amongst the less affluent people,  I am sure that some  disgruntlement is manifest.  Regarding  the news of the s candal regarding NABU  (National Bank of Ukraine)  that hit the front lines of Reuters news last week. Time and discernment via evidentiary process will determine what did happen there. These are perhaps just just picayune matters compared to the banking scandals, the profits taken in our USA banking system. Massive manipulations from speculators in the Petroleum Markets last year, this year the dollar remains stable, but next year ? I haven't checked the mood on the Metro lately,  I rather like the esprit" de corps of Kiev's Metro workers, I hope they don't watch this story of a San Francisco Metro janitor making more than 270,000.00 $ in one year and about 750,000$ over three years with his overtime pay . I always try for eye contact, and a search for a way to give genuine recognition of the Metro workers for their labor. Some chickens have crossed the road, why they crossed over to scratch the dirt on this side of the border , or that side, is anybody;s guess at the moment. People wait at the platform, go to the job, do all the stuff their boss gives them, and they wonder what will come tomorrow.

The writer of this blog Crisis in Ukraine has had his own small crisis lately, yet he's still trying to hear about things that sound authentic and real, rather than surreal. I am slightly pinned down, but hoping to make a move to lower ground. The lower ground has swamps and rivers, and I can swim pretty good. I guess that the news of the day that does relate fully to Ukraine, is FBI director James Comey's testimony about Russian Hacking of US Elections. I have to admit that the guy held up pretty well in the Hot Seat and deftly sidestepped intensive questioning on a plethora of issues (Particularly by  Rep. Jackie Speier  )  .  While I have not yet thought the party was awesome enough to drink the Kool~aid , he certainly fits the bill as the cool , unruffled style of FBI guy.
