Perhaps I am simply gleaning random items I find of interest, off the internet news feeds, I thought it harmless enough to examine the spectrum of recent events and look for patterns: although it is really hard to decipher what transpires at the highest levels of power Some oddly timed  events could be worthy of considering within an ensemble . Perhaps , people are too quick to be apologetic about the perceived ineptitude in the West's handling of  Ukraine's  EU ascension situation. We had the backdrop of obligations, via  the Budapest Memorandum,  to protect their territorial integrity and freedom of self determination.   Most people  never truly imagined it could all come to this , the seizure of a massive, highly valuable territory leading to a war of  brother against brother , cousin against cousin,  perhaps vaguely akin to our American Civil War.  I have to admit that I got daunted by the task of checking the mood in the Metro in Kiev this week, while I tend to bump into my friends and familiars bouncing about on errands via the Metro, it is outside the metro, on the snow laden , slushy streets, at the periphery of the positive energy triangles of Kiev's Historical Churches ,  where the down and out,  angry ,  disenfranchised people from Ukraine's Russian occupied East lurk,  who'll take umbrage towards an American who is soon to be represented by Mister Putin's Special friend .   I guess that the detail is in the Devils hands now.
