Ukraine Starting Over

It's interesting the many levers of Power being thrown about within Ukraine and abroad: The Revolution of Dignity , as it's called now, or during the actual event , of which I was a shoulder to shoulder witness to the central advent of  the Euro Maidan  that precipitated the hostile takeovers of territory in Crimea, the Donbas region, it arose in Protest of an abrupt reversal to what most people thought was a more easy way to modernize Ukraine's Economy , help cleanse it of the rampant corruption , Kleptoparasitism of the Yanukovych regime. I think that there are some errors in the estimation of the regime's taking from Ukraine, in that his taking of wealth was rampant during the period he was Governor of the Donetsk Oblast.  The press, media seems to float a low number of 100 million US $'s yet I have heard that in total, Clan Yanukovych stole closer to 100 billion US $'s.  And of course his Kleptocracy was encouraged as a way to weaken Ukraine's defens

I recently (last summer) had a chance to chat one to one in the reality with Jorma Kaukonen, (of the Jefferson Airplane ) he just said to me that it's too risky to mess around with this stuff, better to stick with the music thing, yet I cannot totally affirm that this is true or deny it Or,  the Little Tugboat that maybe steered a pretty brave course,  on that Parquet dance floor  of the Devil ? the raw truth about Ukraine, it's really way too much for the average American to absorb, and it's a lot for the average riders of the Soviet Era Metro system of Kiev to think about, Not that average Americans cannot think about relatively average things these days, but we have many issues to sort out amongst our selves. It can fester and become infected, and there is still no real good reason for it to not get taken out. In the last week or two, some analysis was posted on the InfoResist site about the engineering of the bridge across the Kerch Straight from Russia to Crimea. While the article is quite long, technical in respects, it's quite readable and actually a bit humorous. The pile foundations of the bridge will succumb to shifting, sinking. All the due diligence of such an expensive investment was not performed correctly, the firms responsible for the soils , geotechnical analysis had net valuations on paper of 150 US $ or something like that. Russian state standards for construction in sediment were arbitrarily changed to fit the result of the construction. Vast sums of money were likely pocketed for work that either wasn't done, or was so cursory and mismanaged, it might not have been worth doing any of it. almost like they took a wild guess, a leap of faith into a chasm of absurdity. And what about the curator of the Ukraine Library in Russia? what became of her ?? It is a
