Investors were pouring big money into Crimea in 2012, or something like that, this was a major real estate development that I encountered, hiking around on foot in Sudak. It's an entire complex: there were Range Rovers cruising about the job site, there were hundreds of workers doing things, skilled workers, or semi-skilled men . I viewed it from above, it's an interesting location, they excavated around super large rock, and they had video / film cameras set upon the large rock, documenting the constructions. Nobody noticed me up there at the time, I hiked on to some other areas. It had the feeling of a rich environment, a lot of real estate value. Much of this was supposedly financed by dishonored loans through Ukrainian banks, but I am uncertain if this wasn't financed by Russian Banks.
