Ukraine Starting Over

Perhaps , people are too quick to be apologetic about the perceived ineptitude in the West's handling of  Ukraine's  EU ascension situation. We had the backdrop of obligations, via  the Budapest Memorandum,  to protect their territorial integrity and freedom of self determination.   Most people  never truly imagined it could all come to this , the seizure of a massive, highly valuable territory leading to a war of  brother against brother , cousin against cousin,  perhaps vaguely akin to our American Civil War. Unfortunately ,  it went there ,  even as much as the Russian separatists are using  a flag nearly identical to the Confederate flag,   symbolically  associated with fighting for the right  the right to hold slaves.  The internal Tatar population of Crimea isn't enslaved,  yet they are trapped in incredibly constrictive circumstance that restricts  many freedoms of social expression , along ...

 I have to admit that I got daunted by the task of checking the mood in the Metro in Kiev this week, while I tend to bump into my friends and familiars bouncing about on errands via the Metro, it is outside the metro, on the snow laden , slushy streets, at the periphery of the positive energy triangles of Kiev's Historical Churches ,  where the down and out,  angry ,  disenfranchised people from Ukraine's Russian occupied East lurk,  who'll take umbrage towards an American who is soon to be represented by Mister Putin's Special friend .   I guess that the detail is in the Devils hands now. While the argument can be made, that most of the Ukraine conflict is the result of purely human ineptness , it is certainly tempting to succumb to believing these elaborate conspiracy theories. He certainly isn't stupid. the thought that the Donald   (As POTUS ) will be doing car pool Karaoke with Vladimir Putin,   catching a ride together after a late night soiree in Sochi or even Yalta , , after last weekend's outrageous outage in Customs and Border Protection' Electronic system melt down this weekend , only a day or so after the expulsion of Russian diplomats , closure of their compounds, : it would seem sort of apparent, while Homeland wouldn't probably admit it, that our system may have had a fairly easy vulnerability,  that was easily targeted and engaged as a non subtle message from our friends in the Russian Federation. The tacit assumption that the USA has better stuff, tools  for getting back at them for the (alleged)  hacking incident, maybe that needs a second go over ? Perhaps it is why Mister Trump's intel...
